DT UTRAN
DT
(Development Toolset) UTRAN provides Utran RRC layer functionalities upto
Release 8. It provides APIs (DAPIs) which is a COM-based programming
interface encapsulates the principal functionality to simulate the different
RRC procedure and for controlling the Network Layer 1 & Layer 2 protocol
entities on the Anite test platform.
This includes
three modules as DT UTRAN L3, DT UTRAN L1L2 and UmtsRrc. DT UTRAN L3 provides
interfaces for RRC procedures, and DT UTRAN L1L2 provides interfaces for L1L2
configuration and UmtsRrc includes the implementation of RRC features and
encoding/decoding and lower layers configuration. DT UTRAN Uses PT Utran APIs
for RLC/MAC functionalities.
Key Achievements:
1.
Handled
customer interfacing for requirement gathering / issue resolution and
checking dependencies with other protocol teams.
2. Lead the development team for feature implementation and
integration.
3. Performed study of new RRC
Features and prepared technical notes.
4. Involved in design and
implementation of various 3G RRC features as Enhanced cell FACH (Rel 7),
CellUpdate in Enhanced Cell FACH, Enhanced RACH (E-DCH)(Rel8), SIB
Concatenation, SIB Modification, PagingType1 on HSDCH, SRB over HSPA, CS
Over HSPA (Rel8), , One Sided RLC Re-easblishment, IRAT Handover (UTRAN
to LTE and LTE to UTRAN) , SRVCC support,
5. Enhanced code for
incorporations of 3GPP CRs for UTRAN RRC. 25.331.
6. Handled responsibility for
analysis and resolution of customer issues (HDRs).
7. Involved in issue analysis and
reporting to L2 (PT UTRAN) team.
8. Supported testing team for
feature understanding and preparation of test plan.

Powerwave IP BSC Development
This project
includes the development of IP BSC to integrate with IP BTS. The Abis
interface between the BTS and BSC is IP based. Project includes the
development of BSC which support the basic GSM MO-MT call and control upto 10
BTS. Development included the LAPD, RR, BTSM, RTP, and BSSAP layers of BSC
and the integration of these protocol layers with third party SS7 stack to
form a complete IP BSC.
Platform
& Tools Used: Linux Centos,
vi/vim, gdb
Key Achievements:
1. Developed RR Resource
Manager for RR/BTSM Layer of IP BSC. Implemented various protocols of
RR/BTSM Layers.
2. Developed unit and functional
test cases for RR/BTSM layers.
3. Involved in integration testing
and development of MSC stub for integration testing for MO-MT call.
4. I have done C programming
/ debugging on linux platform and used MS Visio for SMDD flow charts,
Preparation of unit test case for RR/BTSM layer.

Anite EGPRS Conformance Test Cases
This EGPRS product is the implementation of conformance specification
3GPP TS 51.010-1 to test the RLC/MAC specific functionalities of EGPRS
protocol stack of the Mobile handsets from different vendors.
This product (or any component part of the product), has to meet
certain criteria / expectations for industry meetings. The meetings cycle
takes place roughly on a quarterly basis. Typically for 2G/2.5G
(GSM, GPRS, EDGE), the cycle commences with a GERAN meeting where a
number of CR’s (change requests) are discussed and approved. Approved CR’s
must then be incorporated into each conformance product and the product
re-validated and re-released prior to the following GCF (900/1800MHz) or
PTCRB (850/1900Mhz) meeting.
Platform
& Tools used: Windows XP,
Borland C++ 5.02
Key Achievements:
1. Worked on Anite EGPRS 3GPP
conformance test cases 51.010-1 to test the RLC/MAC specific
functionalities of EGPRS protocol stack.
2. Developed TCs for Multislot
capabilities and handled maintenance of existing Test cases.
3. Worked on drafting 3GPP CRs and
implementation of 3GPP CRs.
4. Handled product re-validation
and release prior to the following GCF (900/1800MHz) or PTCRB (850/1900 MHz)
meetings.
5. I have done C programming / debugging
on Windows platform in this project.
